This year, UP Layap, together with Lexcode Languages and Communication, will hold a mini-conference to participate in the celebration of International Mother Language Day, an observance held annually to promote linguistic awareness, cultural diversity and multilingualism. IMLD 2013 will include activities such as paper presentation, poster making and essay writing contests. Grades 4 to 6 and 1st year and 2nd year high school students coming from different schools in Metro Manila shall be invited to participate and represent their school in these activities.
There will be a parallel session for teachers – a forum on MTBMLE and Filipino Sign Language and the recent victories in the fight for better and quality education system under the new K to 12 program.
Registration fee is Php200.00 per head which includes the kit, lunch and certificates.
